On April 15th and 16th, I will be
conducting scoliosis screenings during PE class. This is required
annually for all students 5th thru 9th grade by the State
Department. A student can only be “exempt” from the screenings if they
have religious beliefs that conflict with health care screenings or if the
student is currently under the care of a physician for scoliosis. These
are the only two reasons that a student can be exempt from screenings.
All non-exempt students will be screened.
