Box Tops for Education

Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Mary Beasley and I am the volunteer Box Tops Coordinator at the Paine Elementary Campus.  Last year, our schools earned over $8,800 by simply clipping and saving Box Tops.  This year, our goal is to raise $10,000 for our schools. Here is an easy way you can help:

CLIP — Clip the Box Tops from hundreds of participating products. Each one is worth 10¢ when our school redeems them from Box Tops for Education. Please check the expiration dates, trim them neatly (it cuts down on shipping costs), and turn them in to your child's teacher.  You may place them in a Ziploc bag with your teacher's name on it.  We collect Box Tops all year long, so you can send them in anytime.  We will have contests for each grade, with the winning classes in each receiving a pizza party.  Deadlines for the contests will be October 14, 2015 and February 10, 2016.  Ask your friends, neighbors, and family members to help your child and join our fundraising effort by clipping them for Paine.

Club Day Information

Good afternoon!  Club Day selection forms are coming home today, 8/24.  Please do the following in order to help your student make his/her Club Day choices:

• Read over the list of clubs with your child and help him/her choose his/her top 4 club choices.
• Write his/her top 4 choices on the back of the handout.
• Log on to Mrs. Blake’s blog (http://mrsblakescounselingcorner.blogspot.com/) and enter them in online.
• Return the form to school on or before Thursday, 8/27.

Back-to-School Assemblies

Paine Elementary (3-5) hosted our annual "Back-to-School" Assemblies today. Students were presented information on how to be a leader around the school, the types of leadership awards that are given, and the how they can earn an award throughout the year.

We also reviewed the 7 Habits with them and various students from the audience were called on to speak about the Habits during the assembly. They did an awesome job of explaining their thoughts!

Students First Day

Parents:

Students return this Wednesday, August 12, 2015, for the 2015-2016 school year!! The school doors will open at 7:20 a.m. for the day! 

Parents, if you have any questions or paperwork to complete, PLEASE try to take care of that on tomorrow (Tuesday). We plan to have a smooth first day of school on Wednesday.
