Veteran's Day Lunch Friday, November 6!

Lunch:

Our Veteran’s Day lunch is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6 this year.  Your child's teacher will communicate with you about the time of this lunch for your child's class.  We would like to invite relatives of students who have served in the military to attend this event.  Please RSVP on an electronic invitation which will be sent out on October 20.

Pictures of Veterans:

If you have a family member who is a Veteran, please send in pictures of them in their uniforms (if available) to be featured on our wall of Veterans.   We will collect pictures until October 30^th.  Keep in mind:

·         NO Original Pictures- please send in photocopies (I cannot guarantee your pics will come back in the condition that you sent them in.)

·         No pictures larger than 5X7, we want to fit as many pictures on the wall as we can.
(Please make sure it is just the pic- no picture frames)

·         Please put the following information on the back of each picture:

o    Student Name

o    Student Homeroom Teacher Name

o    Veteran’s Name

o    Veteran’s Relationship to student

o    Veteran’s Military Branch

o    Veteran’s Years of Service

We will return the pictures to you  by the middle of November.

Donations:

If you know of a business or individual who would like to make a donation so that we can make the lunches for the Veterans who visit, complimentary, please let your child's teacher know.

Thanks so much to all of our Specialists, lunchroom staff, School Resource Officers, custodians and teachers for all the work they put into making this day special for Veterans!  We had 175 Veteran’s attend our lunch last year and are expecting even more this year!  What a great way to pay tribute to these men and women for their service!
